Emergency Homeowners and Renters Relief Program

Starting August 10th, renters will be able to apply for grants of up to $5,000 each to cover rent.  Starting August 24th, Homeowners can apply for up to $15,000 mortgage-relief grants from the Illinois Housing Development Authority.  The $150 million Emergency Rental Assistance Program is expected to help about 30,000 people in the state.
