On Thursday, November 6, Renaissance Social Services will host its annual wine-tasting benefit, A Taste of Hope, at Lush Wine & Spirits in West Town. The night promises more than fine wines and great company—it’s a celebration of second chances, shared stories, and the people who make Renaissance’s mission possible.

Guests will enjoy a curated selection of red, white, and sparkling wines paired with light hors d’oeuvres in an intimate setting guided by expert sommeliers. Every glass raised helps support programs that prevent and end homelessness across Chicago—funding case management, mental-health services, and permanent supportive housing for hundreds of residents each year.

This year, Renaissance will also honor Jenner & Block LLP with the Leadership in Ending Homelessness Award for their extraordinary pro bono legal counsel and steadfast partnership. Their dedication has strengthened Renaissance’s ability to advocate for clients and protect housing access city-wide.

And because hope is best shared, attendees can take part in the 50/50 raffle—half of the proceeds benefit Renaissance’s programs, and half go to one lucky winner. Tickets are $20 each or three for $50 and can be purchased online through November 2 or at the event itself. (Winner need not be present to win.)

Beyond the wines and raffle, A Taste of Hope is a reminder of what happens when community comes together: families like Emelin’s, who found stability and confidence through Renaissance’s support; veterans who secured housing after years of uncertainty; children who finally have a place to call home.
